I am the only child of my parents. My father separated from my mother when I was in Grade 6 then my father took another wife who is now my mother. I finished my school with Matric in 1999 tdhan I was looking for further studies.

I was just stuck at home for 2 years looking after my grandmother because I did not have so many funds to study. My grandmother passed away six years ago.

tsa_01I myself I’m engaged and we will marry next year. We have four children together from the age of 2 to 14.

Luckily, I got a help from the Christian Education Fund to start the Carpentry Training in St. Paul’s Training Centre, which began then. I attended 3 years training from 2002 to 2005. I was in the first Group and we finished with five students. In my training I did eight months practical and three months theoretical studies per year. I also had written my exam at the State Technical Collage of Vuselea in Theory N1 to N3.

After then I worked in different Towns for five years. The training in St. Paul’s Training Centre has prepared me to be able to find work and to manage it.

In 2010I returned home to stay with my family. I got the opportunity to return to the Training Centre as an Instructor in 2011. Now this work helps me a lot. I can stay now at home with my family and we can have a better life together. This work helps me also to develop me professionally as now I have to give my knowledge to others and I have to prepare every time new tasks for the students.

I would like to thank all the sponsors because you helped me and you are helping all of us in our Training Centre, and we can give training to many young people who otherwise never would have got this in their life.

God bless.

I come from Mafikeng but I lived in different places during my schooling time. I have six sisters and one brother. My father was a Lutheran Pastor until he passed away in 2006. I finished my Matric in 2004 then I was staying at home for 2 years. In 2006, I did a course in Agriculture and Farm management in Taung until 2008. I had to stop it because of financial problems. I was again without work or schooling for two years. Then I got a bursary from the Lutheran Church to attend The St. Paul’s Training Centre in which I am learning and studying until today. I learned many things in the school apart from the professional studies I develop also my holistic being as a person. I developed spiritually and the ability to work together with others in a serene atmosphere. If I would not have entered into the training I would have probably ended up like many other young people, by drinking to get drunk and by taking drugs and fall into other dangers.

tsa_02Now I am happy to have had this possibility to grow in all spheres in life with the help of the St. Paul’s Training Centre. I decided in 2011 to do even a third additional year in order to have more experiences and to develop me by giving something to other students. I see myself in five years time to have an own company and to share my skills with other young people because so many are without any formal skill.
